On September 23-25 microwav.fm Armenian team hosted a training regarding public relations, communications and social media.
The first speaker of the training was Nona Melkonyan, chair of the Public Relations program at Yerevan State University. She was presenting the foundations of public relations for small and medium-sized businesses.
She talked about the role of public relations, different types and stages of communications, presented some useful tools for strategic planning and audience definition and introduced some features of interaction between public relations and media.
The second speaker was Armine Zakaryan, who is the executive director at Deem Communications, a company that provides marketing and advertising solutions for local and international companies and has a huge history in organizing popular events with world-famous artists and music bands in Armenia.
Her talk was about the main types of advertising, its purposes and mediums, advertising regulations in Armenia, successful advertising campaigns and advantages and disadvantages of radio advertisement.
Following the advertisement lecture our radio participants headed to the Radio Van where they had an opportunity to use their theoretical knowledge in practical tasks with the marketing manager of Radio Van Alena Levchenko.
The last day of the training was dedicated to the social media. Our participants learned about effective uses of social media and its tools with media and IT security expert Samvel Martirosyan.
